It was 15/03/2017, my journey to Ireland started at Luxembourg. I didn’t know what to expect, but what the hell I’m going. In my humble opinion, person learn all his/her life and die stupid, so let’s learn something and use it.
I have a few passion in my life … OK, more than few. Photography is one of them, since I remember I was trying to do pictures, even i did not understood aperture, shutter speed or ISO or inverse square law, but I was impressed when I could freeze important moment in life on a picture.
As wedding photographer I have almost no experience, 4-5 weddings on my count at most.
But lets return to my trip. Ireland welcomed me with sunshine (oh yeah). I did a few day break in my trip to celebrate St. Patrick’s, as there is no better place to do it like Dublin ;), but this is different story to tell.
So at 20/03/2017 I have kidnapped Olga from her Hubby and of we go to De Burgh Manor Kilberry, Co. Kildare, Ireland. BTW. Ireland is much nicer when you go outside Dublin ;). During trip we had chitchat about weddings, photography, food ect. and we (or I) lost the way, as some #$%^ put wrong direction sign on the cross roads, but it took 10 min to be back on track (thank you TomTom) . Finally we arrived, but what is this ugly blue color, is this good place …
Yes, we are in good place.
The Workshop – Day 1
We were welcome by two crazy man and their flying machines, Tom and Gintautas also known as Gandalf were preparing drones to fight ISIS … aaaaaa no, they were preparing to record Wedding Workshop 2017. First surprise, we have to sign pledge, that we will do our best to behave nicely and good … I did my best, I promise 😉
After ‘making my self at home’ we had some technical stuff and first session by Wojtek Chrapek. After session, I had two thoughts:
1. I have to start use flash – I have 4 flashes but, I have never ever used them.
2. This Guy will shoot my wedding party 😉
After session – The Workshop – Day 1 – Party + Tips and Tricks from Wojtek. Hmmm what to say? Wiśnówka Lubelska – rest is in pictures (link at the end)
The Workshop – Day 2
This was the most intense day of workshop. Started with huge portion of knowledge from Wojtek about flash (I realy need more flash). Then we had a company/product presentation from Rebel East by Luke Sezeck. Next quite boring lecture about WWW and SEO ect. , just joking, I learn few new things about IT world. Rob gave us lecture about emotions in pictures, I think it is all about to show emotions and moments. Than we split into two groups and started to ‘shooot people and sometimes cut their heads’. First group was working with Paula O’Hara, second with Rob Dight. We were spied by Tom and his drone minion. Tips&Tricks from both Paula and Rob resulted in beautiful pictures of Teo and crazy couple that agreed to help bunch of crazy photographers ;).
Result of day 2 – hmmm do not remember, but I have everything recorded 😉 + pictures
The Workshop – Day 3
Last day we started with Rob wisdom about life ;). Than we had kind of psycho-therapeutic session with Paula about life, photography, family and most important values in life – big thanks Paula for eye opener. Kayla gave us information and road show about ShootProof services. We finished official part (but it is hard to tell what was official part what was fun) with wisdom of Tomasz about post processing, workflow and few other technicalities. And of we go to After 8PM challenge 😉
After workshop thoughts
Do not afraid to use flash, enjoy life, work hard on your success, do not forget about family and friends, and take life easy ;D
